ASSR

Auditory steady state response (ASSR) is similar to the ABR test. However, ASSR sends out stimulus sounds of four frequencies (500, 1000, 2000, and 4000Hz) and the test is performed simultaneously on both ears. The test helps to distinguish between severe and profound hearing loss and is useful for deciding on ordering either hearing aids or cochlear implants.
