Computer Support Administrator
Summary of Main
Duties and\ Responsibilities.
- Install and configure new workstations, peripherals and software in addition to the IP phone services.
- Provide support for workstations hardware and software and peripherals.
- Organize the IT equipment cables in a structured way at the user desk or in the IDF/MDF rooms.
- Participate in setting hardware specifications according to work requirements in adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Participate in evaluating IT hardware/Software related bids.
- Provide prompt assistance in urgent situations.
- Provide timely assistance to users in their locations.
- Maintain workstations hardware including monitors, keyboard and printers
- Evaluate the status of hardware and software in use and provide related reports for upgrade, update, replace, or dispose purposes.
- Coordinate, follow up and monitor maintenance work covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.
- Organize, prioritize and complete computing support requests; direct or those routed by helpdesk.
- Update all users’ applications with the latest service packs & patches when needed
- Ensure that antivirus software is up, regularly updated and functioning on all workstations properly.
- Provide workstation and peripheral hardware preventive maintenance.
- Provide orientation for users on the use of their H/W, S/W and Network accessibility.
- Stay up to date with technological trends related to hospital IT environment.
- Provide services in a customer-friendly approach.
- Participate actively in the quality improvement program of the department/unit.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Position
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum diploma degree in computer-related.
- Computer maintenance professional certificates are highly preferable.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in large organizations as IT support technician, preferably in hospitals.
- Solid experience in Windows platform support.
- Experience in supporting windows based applications.
- Familiarity with networking principles.
- Good analysis and troubleshooting skills to identify and report software problems.
- preferably knowledge in IP phone services.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Ability to organize, prioritizes, and manage multiple work tasks with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of all data he/she may find in users workstations.
- Demonstrate courtesy, kindness and empathy to patients, co-workers, visitors and subordinate staff at all times.
- Hospital experience preferred.
- Good experience in Red Hat platform is a plus.
Clinical Informatics
Position: Clinical INFORMATICS
Department : Information Technology
Position Summary
· Provide first line of support to all clinical and administrative staff for issues related to application.
· Ensure effectiveness of implementation, evaluation and optimization of all clinical projects and workflows.
· Collaborate with clinical departments and other hospital staff in overall project implementation and support.
· Work closely with nursing and other clinical department to improve system workflows.
· Analyze and interpret patient, nursing, or information systems data to improve clinical services.
· Analyze health-related data.
- Translate Clinical practice information between Clinical Staff and systems engineers.
- Identify, collect, record or analyze data that are relevant to the clinical care of patients.
- Document operational activities.
· Participate in the implementation of information system/s.
Test any configuration, customization or update of hospital information systems.
· Conduct customer-oriented training workshops.
· Test applications and applications' updates and releases before general release to end users.
· Maintain current and complete documentation for applications.
· Ensure customer satisfaction through effective written and oral communications.
· Administer, troubleshoot and update information systems/applications.
· Provide on-demand online training material to enhance user’s utilization of IT systems.
· Provide services in a customer-friendly approach.
· Participate actively in the quality improvement program of the department/unit.

· Train end users (including Doctors, Nurses and other Clinical and Administrative staff) on related software applications
· Research, identify, and utilize new related applications.
· Participate in system analysis efforts and requirement gathering.

· Bachelor of Nursing or relevant degree in healthcare
· A minimum of 3 years of experience in working in a healthcare facility.
· Strong Understanding of hospital clinical processes, issues and practices.
· Understanding of information systems.
· Ability to articulate facts and ideas clearly and concisely.
Other Skills/Abilities
· Solid understanding of hospital clinical processes, issues and practices.
· Preferably has knowledge in one or more of the following applications: electronic patient record, patient administration system, outpatient /inpatient management, radiology information system, laboratory information system, pharmacy management, and/or patient billing.
· Ability to assess end users’ needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
